Devoted followers of the pop star are demanding that a person who jumped a fence and seized the performer during yesterday's Wicked: For Good debut be taken into custody or expelled from Singapore.

A viral footage depicts the person identified as Johnson Wen shoving aside media personnel and lunging at Grande while the actors made its way down a promenade flanked by supporters.

Cast member Cynthia Erivo quickly guided the shocked actress away from Mr Wen, who was observed being escorted out of the premiere by security officers.

Mr Wen stated on Instagram recently that he was "let go after being detained", though official papers revealed that he was set to attend court on the following morning. It is not clear if he was formally accused.

Record of Incidents

This is not the first time for Mr Wen, who labels himself a "Controversial Figure", has crashed a performance. His Instagram profile contains clips of him disturbing other celebrity events, including jumping on stage at the artist's Sydney concert in earlier this year and in a like fashion during The Chainsmokers event in the city last December.

"Steps should be implemented applied against him as this is obviously a criminal offence," stated an Instagram commenter, in a reply to a video Mr Wen uploaded of his actions.

"This appears to be a habit... why are you not imprisoned?" a different Instagram user questioned.

Followers Express Concern Over Ariana's Past Trauma

Many followers accused Mr Wen for "triggering past anxiety" Grande, who had spoken of dealing with trauma-related anxiety after a devastating incident at the conclusion of her May 2017 show in Manchester, claiming the lives of 22 people and wounding hundreds.

"The star has endured numerous terrifying experiences... including the Manchester tragedy, and you believed breaching security was amusing?" said one more message on Instagram.

Some supporters also criticised guards at the Thursday event for not being adequately prepared; while different individuals called for online networks to block Mr Wen's content.

Reaction and Premiere Information

In footage spreading on the internet, Grande seemed shocked when she was grabbed by the man. Her co-stars Michelle Yeoh and Erivo can be spotted consoling her while Mr Wen was escorted away by staff.

Grande has not commented on the incident, and the premiere activities proceeded as normal.
